Our guest speaker for the week is Steve Bonk.  Steve is a retired gospel preacher who continues to preach occasionally and hold private studies.  He has preached Christ in central Illinois for more than 30 years, the past twelve of which have been with the Church of Christ in Rantoul, IL, where he and his wife, Vicki, still reside.

In this first lesson, Steve shows how the true righteousness of God was a mystery for thousands of years, until Jesus Christ.  We find in Paul's letter to the church at Rome that God's true righteousness is not simply a matter of exposing and condemning sin.  God's righteousness is also not just limited to a certain few, but justification by faith is open to all.  This is the grace of God, that our debt for sin is paid by the blood of Jesus Christ.
