Whether we recognize ourselves as Christians or not, we must face the fact that man is a broken being and that those who love others must bear the pain of their imperfections.  This is in essence the message of Christianity.  Jesus bore the pain of loving a broken creation on the ultimate scale.  And the fact that he was raised cannot be disproven, though it might be disputed.  Our visiting speaker of the week, Mason Venuso, kicks off a week of Proclaiming Jesus with this first lesson describing the problem of man that required a Savior.
