Peripety Aplenty

Likely most have not heard of this word before.  It is a literary device describing a sudden turn of events or change in fortune in a story.  The account of Jonah is full of peripety.  Keith begins with the story of Jonah in this lesson to explain what the concept of peripety means to us.  Indeed there is peripety aplenty in all of scripture.  God uses these stories over and over to elicit a response from every one of us.
